When she’s not art directing, she’s usually sketching, painting, or dreaming up patterns inspired by the things she loves most: motherhood, animals, and the wonderfully ordinary little moments that make life interesting.

Her work is playful, bold, and proudly imperfect, with a love for hand-drawn shapes, unexpected color combinations, and prints that aren’t afraid to take up a little space. She’s especially drawn to creating art for kids and families—probably because some of her best ideas come straight from life with her own kid and the animals she’s loved along the way.

Kristen believes illustration should feel a little human, a little wonky, and like someone actually had fun making it.
